This week's installment:
- A resident of Barcia Drive told officers Aug. 22 she was cut by her boyfriend but wanted no action taken except for him to leave the residence. The cut was so small one needed a magnifying glass to see it. The boyfriend was escorted off the premises.
- Officers were called to the 9700 block of Greenwood Terrace Aug. 25 for two males hitting a car with baseball bats. When officers arrived, they observed the subjects doing their best Albert Pujols on the car. Officers called a seventh-inning stretch and asked why. The subjects said they were trying to give their vehicle a little customizing. When one subject showed ownership, the officers called, "play ball."
- A resident in the 200 block of Madison Avenue reported a fight between 15 juveniles and adults Aug. 25. As officers arrived, the fight was breaking up and the combatants were scattering like cockroaches when the lights come on. By the time the officers got out of their cars the only thing left was a vacant street. No victim was found. Officers stopped a local gang banger who was circling the area of the fight in his vehicle. He was arrested for several outstanding warrants.
- Officers quelled a disturbance Aug. 26 in the 700 block of North Rock Hill Road by mediating a truce between an angry girlfriend and a non compliant boyfriend. Once the boyfriend realized it was her way or the highway, the boyfriend cooled his jets and was very apologetic. All is right in the world, police report.
