Adam's Halloween Party
Today was Adam's Halloween Party at school. Like Emily's yesterday, the Halloween Parade through the neighborhood ty was cancelled due to rain. So, the kids paraded through the hallway and into the big play room where the parents took some pictures. Adam had a great day at school and is ready to trick-or-treat tomorrow night!

Emily's Halloween Party
Paul and I both attended Emily's Halloween Party yesterday. We realized that when her class was eating snack that she wasn't feeling well. Her teacher walked her to the nurse's office and reported back that Emily had a fever and was laying down. We took her home after the party and her fever was 102. She's laid pretty low today and hopefully will be back to normal before school resumes on Monday. Good thing she had today off anyways!
The kids made spiders out of ding dongs, candy, and pretzels. Here, Andrew seems to be really enjoying his snack!
Emily's buddies Isabel and Erin during the Mummy wrapping competition!

Bffs and Miley Cyrus
Emily was lucky enough to be invited to see Miley Cyrus at Scottrade with MAdison and her mom. I think a good time was had by all! Thanks Herwecks for inviting Emily! Emily had a great time, but was a little bummed that she didn't see her Springfield BFF Maddie who was at the concert also.

Halloween at Grant's Farm
The Kreidlers went with two other neighbor families to experience Grants Farm at night! The kids all dressed up in costume and had fun dancing in the courtyard with Frankenstein and assorted characters!

The "Horny" girls associating with some vampires! Funny...they don't look like Edward Cullen...(for those of you that don't know who Edward is, Google him and you'll find out!)

Chores Galore!
Emily and I participated in Chores Galore where we helped local seniors by doing fall clean up. The kids had a great time and we exhausted (as were the parents) by the time we finished our two assigned yards. The girls did have a bit of fun jumping into a huge leaf pile we made in the first yard (which was HUGE).

Thies Farm
On cold and gloomy Friday, Emily, Adam and I went to Thies Farm with our neighbor Lulu and her kids - Katie and Nicolas. It was fun, although cold, playing outside in the corn maze and straw structure. Maybe next year it'll be a bit warmer and not so wet!

Our Fredbird!
To support the St. louis Cardinals in their post season run (which was WAY too short!!!), Adam's class made "Fredbirds" to wear! Too bad the extra support didn't help the Cards this year!

Adam's Fun Weekend
While we were torturing ourselves by running the marathon, Grandma and Grandpa Kreidler were kind enough to watch Adam for us! He had a GREAT time touring the fire station, trying on the gear, and spraying the hose. This kid may be a future fireman!
He also had a great time at Grandma and Grandpa's House! He carved pumpkins with them! Something that his mom and dad and big sister have yet to do with him at home!

Lunch with Nic
The day after we watched Nic performed, we picked him up and took him for a good old American burger at Blueberry Hill. While there, Emily became Nic's youngest interviewer ever! She asked him a series of questions that, hopefully, one day we'll have her post on our blog!

Powell H all
Back in early October, Emily, Paul and I went to Powell Symphony Hall for the evening. My college roommate, Kirsten, is married to concert pianist Nicolas Hodges. (For those of you that don't know, Kirsten in an opera singer and sang at our wedding!). Nic was in town performing with the St. Louis symphony. What a treat to watch him perform! Emily enjoyed the concert more than she probably would have last year since she's started playing the violin this year.
