Sounds like the title to a movie, doesn't it? The trip to the train station to head downtown today took 45 minutes, as opposed to the 15 minutes it normally takes. Our normal route was flooded, as you can see below. We tried a few alternates which also ended up flooded (thanks, Ike). We finally managed to get to the train at about 11:30, and then of course it took a good 20+ minutes for the train to actually get there (thanks METRO - now you know why people don't want to support your sales tax increase!).
Of course when the train got there it was packed, and nobody would give their seat up for Amy and Adam, so we all subway-surfed down to the Jones dome. We made it to our seats just after the Giants first touchdown, and stayed through the 3rd quarter. I think everyone enjoyed the trip, and better yet, we found that we actually have decent seats for the Bears game in November. Hopefully we'll see Devin Hester run back a kickoff or punt from our endzone view.
