HOOSIER DADDY!

#25 IU plays tough at home, knocking off #2 Wisconsin, 71-66. Hoosier Nation gladly puts the Mike Davis era out of their minds!

GO BIG RED.

Storm Warning!

There's a storm coming to Miami - Hurricane Halas.

GO BEARS!

(Hat Tip - Dan Ridges)

UPDATE: There was certainly a storm, but it was rain, not da Bears :(

Pooh Sighting!

Back to B-Town

I enjoyed a great weekend in Bloomington to catch up with friends and watch the Hoosiers spank Michigan. JB hooked us up with great tickets - 15th row, center court. He is now absolved for past ticket sins.

What can I say - sometimes you're wrong!

Flurries?

The weather man said flurries tonight - tell that to the inch of snow outside already. Adam was learning the finer points of catching snowflakes with your mouth today.

Who Dat? DA BEARS, That's Who!!

I guess New Orleans just figured out the answer to their rally song, which goes "Who 'dat sayin' they gonna beat 'dem Saints?". They should spend their offseason learning some grammar.

You had to know that a team with a quarterback from Purdue was destined to fail in the big game!

GO BEARS!

A Prayer for Da Bears

Our Papa,

Who art a Bear,

Hallowed be thy fame,

Thy championship come,

Thy play be run,

At home as it is away.

Give us this day, our Sunday win,

And forgive us our turnovers,

Though we pounce on those who turnover against us,

And lead us not into fourth and long,

But deliver us from Orton.

In the name of Ditka, Butkus, and the Holy Payton.

As it was in 1985, so shall it be in 2007, reign without and.

Daaaaaaaamen!

Cake!

Adam enjoyed his birthday dinner of ravioli (tofu, of course). We had some neighbors over for cake, which he liked to look at, but didn't want to eat. That's okay - it saved him from a Benadryl cocktail later on.

Ice Storm

We were hit with another ice storm last night - everything is encased in ice.

Emily, Mom, and Dad did a science experiment this morning. We broke off some ice from our deck and measured its thickness at exactly 1/4 inch.

It has warmed up some today, so we hope the ice will melt before another storm is expected tonight. Everyone is hoping that this will not be a repeat of December, when there were lots of power outages.
