Ft. Lauderdale, Day 3

First, Happy Father's Day to our Dads!

Our Father's Day started out with another day of Paul running and everyone sleeping, and sleeping, and sleeping! After the beach bums woke up, we scarfed down some breakfast and headed for the beach.

Emily dug holes in the sand and Amy buried her to make her look like a mermaid. Adam enjoyed looking at the small fish in the water and playing in the surf. We grabbed some lunch at the beach around 11:30 and I headed in to get ready for the opening day of my conference. Amy took the kids to the pool for the afternoon.

After I returned, we took Jeff's advice and went to Tarpon Bend restaurant, which was really good. We walked a bit and took a trolley back to the beach and then walked back to the hotel.

I think we will all sleep well tonight. Tomorrow is the first major day of the conference, and the main speaker tomorrow is Mary Matalin - former Reagan speech writer, TV host, etc. She will be balanced out on Tuesday by Donna Shalala.

Here are some pictures from today...
